I have recently started this website which I hope will be a central resource for people building their own homes in the UK, and I thought I would mention it here as it may be of interest to people reading uk.d-i-y.
We are hoping to build a community of people who can shares their experiences (there is a blogs section), as well as information on finding a plot, obtaining planning permission and building your home.
