SDS or Percussion Drill

I need to drill some fixing holes through a side hung timber casement window and into cavity wall (not sure if it will hit the brick or breeze block?),

I am thinking of buying a new drill for the job but was wondering what would be best - SDS or Percussion Drill?

I was looking at either

SDS and no other.

SDS drills are considerably more versatile than percussion drills. On many (including this DW) you can set the rotation to stop and use the tool as a chisel.

For drilling into brick, they are much easier and faster than percussion drills.

For drilling into breeze block, you will need to take care but this can be achieved by using short bursts on the trigger.

£70 for the DW drill is a very good price. I suspect that it is end of line, but that doesn't really matter - spares will be available for a long time.
