Rescuing a chipped kitchen sink

Some oaf, no doubt one of the children, has dropped something in the kitchen sink, chipping the bottom.

Is there something that can be done to repair this, or at least prevent further cracks and discolouration around the damage?

Thanks,

Daniele

I presume that the sink is if the "Belfast" type - if so, look in the Yellow Pages for the Cardiff area for 'specialists' in bath repairs or kitchen unit chip repairs etc and they should be able to help reasonably cheaply.

BTW, these are usually franchised outlets and some are very good at it.

After a few years all belfast sinks have micro cracks anyway .. a monthly dosing with caustic soda leaches and sanitises them IME.

White Milliput will fill any major holes.

aren't satisfactory, am I likely to make the thing more difficult to repair for a competent person who knows what they're doing?
