(1) Bollocks - who cares or will know? Replacing floorboards doesn't require insulation - it is just a good idea.

I was going to suggests something like that.
Or cur and remove the majority of the board, then use an old chisel etc. to split the boards, pull out the split bits of board, then get in and cut the nails
