The sleeve part of the rawlbolt unscrews and is dropped into a close fitting hole drilled to the suggested diameter and then the bolt is put through the item to be secured and then screws into the sleeve which, as it is tightened, expands to provide a secure fixing. you may need a sds drill to drill a hole big enough with ease. i think i used a 14mm sds drill bit for mine.

did you have a p5roblem with snugness of the post in the metpost thingie? if so what did you use to stop the wobble?
