Quick set concrete additive any good?

Just wondering if anyone has any experience of using this stuff and would they recommend it? I'm about to start concreting most of the ground floor of our house. Shorter setting times would be very useful, as we will be living upstairs while doing this. I have read that the key to avoiding the concrete cracking is to cover it to make sure it dries out slowly - so the question is does this stuff cause cracking problems?

I wonder why you need shorter than 40 minute set times, would make handling more problematic.

Great for small batches ie postholes or kerbing but no good for large slabs floors or paths

i'm going to mix my own concrete. You reckon this will be set hard enough to walk on in 40 mins without any additives ?! I thought i read somewhere it would take a couple of days? Help anyone?

Theres a difference between setting, which may take 40 mins or so, and curing, which takes 28 days. Setting accelerators dont AFAIK accelerate curing. I would not walk on it after 40 minutes, no, regardless of whether accelerator was used. Maybe get your supplies together upstairs and stay there for a bit. Wood sheets on the floor will make it walkable next day, as long as no-one gets silly, as it'll still be very weak..
