Quadplex Outlet

Hello!

I am in the process of installing some TV outlets in my house, and have stumbled across these in the Screwfix catalogue

formatting link
normally I would expect to see TV, FM and SAT1 on one cable, and SAT2 on a different cable, but this one is described as a "Quadplex" outlet, so does it manage to get all 4 down a single cable?

If so, why doesn't sky do this when people upgrade to Sky+ instead of running a new cable?

Thanks!

What makes you think it runs all signals down one cable? The reviews show one user used 2 sat cables.

Ah, I didn't see that - I assumed... Diplex means 2 signals down 1 cable Triplex means 3 signals down 1 cable and so Quadplex meant 4 signals down 1 cable

No, I've used a bunch of these recently in my house. They take 2 cables in the back.

I can post a photo of the back of one, if you like.

Thanks, but that's not necessary!

Logical Captain. So why is the prefix 'Quad' used when it only runs two signals?

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember "Toby" saying something like:

Feck. You don't think the little dearies of Marketing actually pay attention to logic, do you?
