projector dilemma

OK, I made an error and bought a video projector, the error is that it doesn't work.

It is a Sharp XG V10XE conference projector, a big thing 4000 lumens, all the inputs including dvi and uses two lamp assemblies.

When plugged in it starts to check itself and stops with the warning lights for lamp failure, I took the back off and discovered that there are no lamp modules at all, it appears they just plug in.

Now, I am prepared to buy lamp modules for it (two of at 300 quid each) as it should still be a very high quality bright projector, BUT I really would like to know that if I buy the lamp units that it will work, as other wise it is another 600 quid down the drain.

Any ideas of somewhere that would be prepared (for a fee of course) to plug in two lamps and see if it works, or any alternate means of checking whether it will project ok ?

The lamp units are UHP type, 200 watt, I can borrow some 150w uhp lamps from a theatre I work at, but would there be likely to be a problem with the ballast being wrong or whatever?

Any sensible advice gratefully received.
