Pressure reducing valve

I've reduced the flow of my bathroom taps right down using isolator valves, the taps are 1/4 turn so at full mains pressure they're unusable.

We have 2 sinks and if they are both used at once the tap flow is too low.

If I use pressure reducing valves instead to fix the pressure do these work regardless of what else is going on? (As long as there is sufficient input pressure obviously)

Ta.

Pretty much - the limit the pressure on the outlet to the set amount, thus removing some of the variability on the input.

It depends, there are various sorts. The simple cheapo ones you are most likely to come across. The output pressure varies with volume bing passed and the input pressure. ie they are not very accurate/constant output pressure but suitable for many purposes (including yours)

It's possible to have a high water pressure but low volume due to crud/corrosion in the incoming pipework. Obviously old metal pipework is most suspect for this. You need to consider if you have this problem.
