How do you stop the paper bubbling up when you paint it? I put some up nearly 10 years ago and the paper bubbled under the wet emulsion, then mostly disappeared when dry, but still a few remained. Anyone got some top tip?

Make the first coat very light. It'll seal the surface without excessive wetting.
