Well, try some suggestions. It would probably require one that generates vector rather than bitmap graphics and allow you to save that direct. Audation has the same problem.

It certainly is, but once you've configured your graph (e.g. use "x-y scatter plot" with smooth line and no points, set X-axis to logarithmic, set X & Y min and max, set X-crossing point on Y-axis to be at bottom instead of at top, make fonts on axes fixed size not automatic, enable minor grid lines as well as major on X-axis, make plot area white not grey, make all grid lines pale grey, remove all text boxes, make series line black not coloured, drag the plot area to fill the worksheet) it's done forever, and you just have to "import external data" from a new Audacity export file to overwrite the previous data columns to see the new graph instantly.

I tried plotting two series on the same graph - one in black derived from my 'reference' data table, and one in mauve derived from the 'new' data table. This gives an effect like your hand-drawn line superimposed on a mauve line plot like the top of the audacity filled plot - a lot easier to see the differences between the two.

If you like you could email me two text files exported from Audacity which I could insert into my Excel tables and send you back the resultant Excel file with graph.
