We found ourselves in a foreign city the other day and I spotted this odd "chimney" that I took a very crap photo of.
For the benefit of Brian it's a tall (nearly 150 metres) tower with what looks like a conical cap on the top.
Anyone care to hazard a guess as to its function? ;-)
(Hint - it's located in the university area of the town).

Spot on. I'm curious as to what happens to the internal air pressure when they catapult a package up the way as they appear to use an air cannon.
