Awesome! What powers the saw? Is it from a take-off under the helicopter, or a motor in the pod just above the saw blades?

I wonder if the rotating blades have a gyroscopic effect to help keep the assembly pointing in the intended direction.
I noticed that the suspension from the 'copter looked more like a pole than a simple wire.

Thinking on that, I would expect that the forward motion of the assembly, and the rotation of the blades would, if anything, result in a twist to the side due to gyroscopy, as the result is always the opposite of what you want!

Could be. I don't think there is enough information available to find out without deep digging, though. It just says "belt-driven", but that could be just the first stage from the engine.
