OT: EU and Canada

have to do is work out whether that payment is worth while.

if we currently have that then that is what the remoaners set up as we are currently still in the EU we won't know what Brexiteers have done until th e new trade deals are signed.

At least we can agree on that.

Ditto you explaining in what way we elected all the people on this list;

What 'concessions' are you referring to?

They can have any agreement they want. The EU decided part of that agreement was free movement of people as well as capital and goods, etc. Which we agreed to as part of that club membership.

Some in the UK didn't like that, so we're in the process of leaving.

Just accept we'll no longer be in a free trade area with the EU and you'll be OK. Of course the country will be poor - but what the heck. You've got back 'control'.

Well that didn't last long. Thought at last you understood the difference between importing and exporting. Ah well.

It is an un-elected body with considerable powers.

You are falling into the usual trap of anything British = perfect, anything else = wrong.

Very true. If that pretty unpopular government had recommended we vote leave, all those who just wanted to give them a kicking without caring a toss about the EU would have voted remain. And we'd not be in this sorry mess.

don't be a sap, the government can decide a referendum is a good thing and still decide what outcome would be best for the country. They can still decide not to take any notice of the result if they want to. I expect that if they can't get a decent deal with the EU they might well decide to ignore the result, probably after an election so the voters have plenty of time to forget.

Do you want a bet? Anyway it wouldn't be the same as we will have thrown away any influence we had.

You mean the fact that you don't know your own mind gives you an advantage at poker? :-)

Blimey Dave. I didn't expect that. Are you sure you understand this trade stuff?

They've all been elected to Parliament, unlike Commissioners. And can be de-elected, such as Mr Portaloo, Ed Balls, etc.

As MPs. Between these brackets is the input we had to their appointment as Ministers;

Your crystal ball again. How is yours so perfect and everyone else wrong? When the euro goes t*ts up you'll be glad we voted out.

And your point is *what*, precisely? Any don't try to weasel that the Commissioners are appointed like the governments appoint ministers. AISB, we, the public, can and indeed have, *sack* MPs.

If you feel like pointing out the Official Opposition in the EU Parliament and the Shadow Commission, feel free.

We aren't in the Euro, we don't have to bail them out. So what do you think we have gained by brexit if the euro goes t*ts up?

Been made and repeatedly ignored by you.

Unless I'm missing something, the EU seem to be saying there will be no negotiations on any new deal between the UK and EU until after the UK has left. 2 years plus minimum.
