[OT] Email address for service complaint at post office

[off topic]

Can anyone help me? Do you have an email address for a complaint about counter service at my Post office (which is in the UK).

I can get to a messy-looking web form on the Royal Mail web site but it looks very makeshift. I would rather send my complaint direct to an email address.

Thank you.

Why not call Royal mail on 01752387112 and make your complaint they will take more notice of a phone call then a email or even be up front and ask to see the manager of the PO concerned

Completely wrong, since it's a Post Office, not a Royal Mail office.

While they are all owned by the Royal Mail group, they are separate businesses: Royal Mail: letter and parcel delivery Post Office: Post office counters - the actual post officers, not the delivery of post Parcel Force: parcels and courier work

The old 'Post Office' is a throw back to the GPO which did all of those things (+ telecoms)

Completely wrong dial that number and they will put you through to the correct department . I should know I have used the number often enough unless you would sooner I gave the very expensive 0845 number Bob . Keep your nose out next time Bob until you are sure of what you are saying .

Complain by snail-mail. People take more notice of real letters.

I think it goes with the racism! :-)

That only works because, although Post Office is a separate brand, it's a wholly owned subsidiary of Royal Mail plc.

0845 is cheaper than 01725 unless you actually live near this number area or you have free minutes/calls to landlines. 0845 Local call rate is very expensive? I think you're confused with 0871 and 090x numbers.

The above statement suggests you only have one problem, which is clearly not true. One of your other problems seems to be the inability to punctuate a sentence sorrectly.

BT ordinary residential tariffs do not make any distinction between 'local' and 'national' calls any more. They do however make a sharp distinction between 'geographic' calls, which are 6p for up to an hour in the evenings and at weekends, and 0845 which is charged per minute, and is also excluded from almost all inclusive call promotions.

0845 is not local call rate - it's "Lo-call" and the Advertising Standards Authority have adjudicated it is misleading to describe 0845 as 'local rate'.

Well...living near makes no difference these days (unless you are on a business tariff). There is no difference in price for local and non-local calls these days.

It is if you don't call via BT. If you use (say) 18185 as a prefix, you get calls anywhere in the country for a flat 4p (any duration). But 0845 is excluded so you have to use BT and pay per minute.
