OT Climate change.

How come harry hasn't posted this yet?

Maybe its because the two MPs that voted against it are the only members with science training?

The rest are politics, and stuff like that.

One even thinks homeopathy works.

No such thing as man-made climate change. It's just a scam designed to fleece us all.

Actually I found the two programmes called Cloud Lab very worrying recently. They seem to be saying that by cleaning up the air, we ar in fact increasing the volatility of extreme weater by allowing more energy through. Now one cannot have ones cake and eat it, so if these pollutants are supposed to be greenhouse gasses, warming up the planet, and pollution s screens the areas from heat, what is the net outcome. My guess is that nobody really knows. I do feel however that the climate is changing, for whatever reason, much as it has in the millions of years since it was habitable. So I am minded of the old King cannot problem. Yes to stay where we are and carry on as normal will eventually be impossible, but can we really make any kind of difference to the climate whatever we do. We may be pretty powerful as a race, but the scale of the problem is much bigger than I think, we can control one way or the other.

Cloud lab also worried me as it was blatantly obvious that some of the science was slipshod and made for tv, with the will he survive the jump from26000 feet etc, when the job could have been done with an off the shelf instrument package and a balloon. Likewise, flying around in a slow airship and trying to get through the notorious Californian gap in the mountains in it, was all a bit silly.

The slipshod way of testing to see if microbes were at altitude as mentioned was covering such a large altitude with one sample it will probably be meaningless and indeed, just blowing clean air over the dishes while they prepared them is bound to contaminate them. This should have been done by machine from the sealed sample containers from a drogue stabilised equipment package as mentioned above.

I'm sure it was good visually, but its not really serious science in my view.

Just goes to show, none of them have our interests at heart, only their own.

If anybody who disagrees with you is corrupt, I want to know where my payments are.

For once I agree with you. Very poor, and I was far from persuaded that they discovered anything new! The chap who jumped/parachuted through a cloud was quite un-necessary; they could just as easily have dropped a probe, and I'm sure proper meteorologists do so, regularly.

There's often a reason for irrational behaviour. In the case of these two pillocks, not difficult to find out what it is. Astonishing that they'll put their personal interests first. Still, it reveals them for the lying hypocrites they are.

Because it is not a Daily Mail article? AICMFP.

*Not* questioning the IPCC methodology is irrational.

Such as all the scientists who would lose their funding if man-made climate change proved to be a myth.
