Hi Im looking for some free cctv software ideally I would like something simple but with motion detection and selectable part of image for the detection to work in. I have googled but there are a vast number of programs to choose from so any recommendations gratefully received.
Well if its CCTV it will display on a dedicated monitor so no software needed?

You can try the live CD of
Google for Pryme - I use it with webcams, has some advanced features such as ftp upload. I believe it can handle inputs from capture cards. It's Freeware too.
