Was finally built in 2000, and works perfectly. Not only did it print, but has some surprisingly advanced features too. In fact its more advanced than any printer I've encountered from before the early 1960s.
The 2.5 tonne weight would make moving it to get to the computer tricky though.

I'd imagine the necessary usb interface adapter module would weigh quite a few kilos too (and you'd need more than a wallwart to power it as well).
