For anyone who is interested
grip; just a 'split pin' pin with the wire tucked into the loop...
Clix. But they did have a rudimentary cord grip - rather like some light sockets. Later versions had a screw up type.
Oh yes. The flat 'T' piece of material that you jammed the wires around, before screwing on the top. I remember now! (I also remember the wires coming off in my hand once...)
I've got one of those upstairs.
I must be getting old. I've come across most of them.
One of these days I'll post some pics from the "Complete Plumber and Sanitary Engineer", circa 1910.
Or how to build a coal mine.
"Practical Coalmining" circa 1902. (it includes the Selby Coalfield, which they seemed to discover about 50 years ago!)
