Tri-Iso Super 9 is the stuff with multiple layers of foil. No-one has actually proved it works. There are a few other copycat versions around, the manufacturers of which haven't even bothered to try and prove it works.

Alreflex (and a few copycat versions) is the foil faced bubble-wrap. It has been proven to work in a wall cavity where it has the same resistance value as 32mm Celotex or 56mm of mineral fibre batts, neither of which would be enough by themselves to comply with the maximum U-value required by the Building Regulations for a standard cavity wall. The makers have tried to claim a use for it as roof insulation and even a breather membrane, which is completely ludicrous as it's _less_ breathable than normal roofing felt.

You would be better off trying sprayed on insulation or some sort o polyurethane board insulation.
