I know its not really aceptable and id prefer not to mount onto the RECs board question is have any of you got away with doing so when changing a CU ? Also any advice on accessing the terminals on a digital meter to replace the tailings ? Im not at all bothered about removing the company fuse.

Erm, remove the cover that is screwed over the terminals. Are you sure you should be doing this job?
