I am rerouting some Cu CH pipes via a vertical wall recess. The finished cover is to be rigid & flush with the wall surface, but screwed access is required to cover the remote possibiity of needing access to the pipes.
I would prefer a material that is matt and not too obvious as it will be at waist to eye height.
Preferably with sealed/sealable edges that can butted up to plasterboard endstop to show only a nominal gap.
Size c. 150mm x 900mm.
Any suggestions please?
Am wondering whether some of the material might suit that you see used for industrial access panels over cables, & other such things, but do not know anything about them so any help will be most appreciated.
Some fire proofing quality would be an advantage as the pipes run up into the next floor.
12mm plywood has been considered, but could be quite obvious after painting. Looking for something better..TIA
