losing pressure with Ferroli Optima 901

Can anyone help,

We have just had a plumber in to service my mother's heating system a it was losing pressure. It is still losing pressure and the plumbe won't come back unless we pay him again, the 3 valve has also bee changed.

Any ideas ??

Another problem is that there is a leak somewhere in the house (we ca hear it) and it also shows up on the water meter BUT there is no wate to be seen!! For this job we have had two plumbers out and they can't find th leak! Could this have something to do with the heating problem? we ar getting desperate and already paid 250 quid for nothing

Looks like you have a problem with the heating system - see the SealedCH FAQ.

There is probably a leak on the cold water main under the house. How much of a problem this is will depend on where it's leaking.

possible to by-pass the pipes that are in the ground or inside walls s that we don't have to start digging up

You might be able to narrow this down by listening directly to the pipework. Take a bit of wood of suitable length, how long depends how accessable the pipes are, place one end on the pipe or fitting and the other end other against you ear (the little flappy bit at the front bent over is useful for stopping the wood going up your ear canal). You should be able to hear the "singing" listen in various places from the street stop c*ck, internal stop c*ck, ball valves on tanks other taps etc. The louder the noise the closer you are to the leak. It's also possible to listen to the ground if you have a hard surface such as paving stones, concrete, tarmac or the like.
