Log edgings

I want to put in some log edgings. The 'above ground' height has to be approx 25-30cm.

Now if I bought a roll like this, I can get a fair price of around £7 for

1.8m length by 30cm high

is, I am guessing at least a good 10cm will have to go under the ground, making it slightly shorter than I would like.

What I could do, is go for the slightly more expensive option of these:

presume that when you hit the 2 pointy bits into the ground the rest stays above ground?

Now , you can buy the ones with stakes at 30cm high, so I presume I will get the full 30cm heigh from those?

Also, could I just buy the rolls and make my own stakes on the 2 edges? If so how would you suggest doing that? I spose stakes made of metal would be better than would as they would be underground and less likely to rot!

yes, and yes. You can attach the roll border to them after they're wacked in using fencing staple or screw.
