Loft access. Fire regs.

Hi, Does anyone know what, if any, fire regulations apply to a loft opening in a single storey extension?

Does the door need to have the same fire resistance as the ceiling?

My daughter's builders have used a sapele flush door, cut to size, so that the inner cardboard core is exposed, leaving effectively a paper thin sheet of ply to hold back a fire. TIA

Generally, doors to a loft conversion in a bungalow don't need to achieve 30 minutes fire resistance provided that the rooms on the first floor are suitable for means of escape.
