Lithium rechargeable PP3s

I see that LiIon and LiPo PP3s are now available with a capacity comparable to alkaline ones. Anyone got a recommendation for makes and suppliers, and a suitable charger?

It's for a friend's daughter's xmas pressie - she sings and chews her way thru primary cells in her radio mic like there's no tomorrow!

actually I have used model plane ones for some years..pressed into service

you probably need a 3 cell (11.1V) or 2 cell (7.4v) 600mAh cell pack.

rip the press stud things of the appliance and fit model aircraft type connector.

NEVER LET THE THiNG GO FLAT or kiss the cells good bye

Have look through broadcast/film related sites. Use of Li rechargable PP3 size batteries in radio mics was something that was moderately popular over the last few years. But advances in electronics and DC-DC convertors has meant most kit has now migrated to a couple of AAA or AA batteries...

Ta for the site hint. I fairly often deal with (grown up) mics and lapels are now always AA but handhelds still seem mostly 9V.
