Isn't it annoying.......

when the printing on the controls of appliances such as dishwashers and things wipes off when you use a damp cloth with a bit of Mr Muscle or similar?

My Maplin (N'd&S'd) burglar alarm came with a sticker for the back door advising tealeaves that "This houses (sic) is protected by a burglar alarm". Sunlight bleached the print in a couple of months. Should've put it inside, I suppose.

Hoover Dishwasher.

Morphy Richards Electric Kettle

MK Cooker Switch & Socket

I am keeping cleaning stuff away from the new washer - although some indications are well embossed. Note I am not talking abrasive (Jiff) type of cleaners.

Hmmm! Sticker/label demonstrates an 'unfitness for use'?

Try split microfiber cloths. For most purposes they clean perfectly well without using any kind of aid other than water. Lakeland have a large range, but they're available elsewhere too. Try to avoid the cheaper ones (e.g. Tesco Value) which are not "split".

Got this one from LwT magazine, link below. Never thought it'd work, but we were both pleasantly surprised. We now use microfiber cloths for most day-to-day cleaning work in the house and car and as a result have dramatically reduced our use of certain chemical cleaners.

Hwyl!
