I have those cheap flush fake veneer hollow type doors, about 20 years old. (dont know the proper name for them) One has a dent in it and I would like to hide it, is there a cheap way to do this. Some sort of very thin veneer type stuff.
thanks

You may be able to wet it and iron it and remove it that way.
Otherwise, its not worth it: Buy another cheap fake veneer door and fit it.
Yup prolly £15 - £20 in wickes.
Just called flush doors. Theyre cardboard interior, wood outer frame and a wood veneer finish.
You could fit veneer, but its as cheap to get a new door.

Yip checked them on the wickes site (thats the ones) and £19.99, probably is cheapest option.
The one on wickes is `beech` the ones I have look to be slightly darker, could mine have darkened with age? I have 15 of the damn things in my house so dont fancy replacing them all to get them matching. Or does anyone know if 20 years ago they did a wider range of these.
£17.99 or £14.39 if you buy 5!
How the 'kinell can you make a door for that bloody price?
Well dunno but they are on sale at £19 just checked the website. Although cheap and nasty, they have lasted me 20 years.
kin badly.
By using £4 worth of materials, and one and a half minutes to make it! Then you can sell it for a profit at that price.
A quick coat of varnish will probably sort it.
They probably did, and they certainly do now:
Cheers,
John.

Thanks John it looks more like the Sapele veneer rather than the beech. Good now I know what I am looking for.
You don't seriously think there is £4 worth of materials in a flush door, Shirley?
