Ideas sought for electronic remote-controlled lock for garden gate

At present I have the garden gate padlocked. During the day when I'm home I unlock it. I lock it at night and when leaving the property.

What electronic lock is available that I can operate from inside the house by flicking a switch?

I could also consider a DIY solution, possibly using a kit from e.g. Maplin.

I have a Yale type lock on my back gate, with a door strike like this

is a simple push button on the "public" side of the gate

It's connected to my alarm, so when it is dark, or the alarm is set, the button is disabled automatically, but when it is light and the alarm is not set, and another button inside has been pressed inside, the button outside the gate is enabled.

seems to work for me :-)
