I remember

IME it was not to bad at reading 360K, and also ok at writing, but then a DD drive had real trouble reading them after they had been written on by a HD drive since its head was twice the width and ended up reading half a new track and half the previous one.

(IIRC there was also and incompatibility issue with the different coercivity of the discs and the write current used on the HD drives).

It's usually so annoying, the parcelfarce van arrives, bod alights with my parcel, ahhhh, that'll be my perpetual motion machine, but no, it's for the missus. She's maybe ordered a pair of Hungarian #67 chopsticks and T-shirt, complete with charger. 'Aint it a barstard. The moral is, keep your bank accounts separate.

Electric-powered chopsticks? Photos, please! Or was it the T-shirt that was powered?

The wife has prohibited me from uploading such coarse material, however, ARW has gigs of the stuff.

There was one made in the US by the same people who developed a V8-engined snow thrower, but I think the company got, ahem, snowed under.

Where does it say electric? He said charger, it may be for charging them with something other than electricity, especially if it was from someone like ARW. ;-)

Sometime in the late 1980's I recall the head of a processing centre of a major UK company telling me his computers were immune from viruses because the disc packs were sealed and in a vacuum.

I picked up some cardex storage boxes at a bootsale a decade ago. They're steel, stackable, lockable and fit DVD cases perfectly. Only goes to show - throw nothing out.
