Help removing radiator

I thought this would be easy but not so far! I want to remove a rad in the kitchen while decorating, it is piped in microbore and has both pipes going in the same valve at one end. So I screwed down the valve to turn it off but obviously this only shuts off one pipe (the feed I presume?). So I have removed the cap and underneath we have a white plastic toothed wheen that the main valve handle turns, then a nut (is this the other valve?) then a brass ring with a tab on it that just seems to move up and down the thread when turned(range limit maybe?). I cant seem to stop the rad filling with water though (pressurised system) - have tried the inner nut both up and down, but no luck so far. How exactly should the 2nd pipes valve be closed off? Wanted to try and do this without draining the whole system but if that is the only way...

cheers

Dave.

On mine just opposite where the other pipe comes into the valve I have a white cap which covers up the valve stop. You close the valve using a screwdriver, its just like a screw. I had some great fun with my rads when removing them for some re-plastering work!!!!!

Not sure if this helps or not......

hmmm, cant see any screwdriver slots? I think I am going to have to drain down (or at least relieve the 1 bar pressure) and get some microbore stop ends - is that 8mm or 10mm, I expect the shop will know?
