heating supplies in Reading

[X-posted to uk.d-i-y, uk.local.thames-valley]

I heard somewhere that there's a heating supplies place somewhere around Whitley Wood Lane (or W.W. Road) in South Reading. Anyone have a contact number or address?

(I'm actually after an injector for the pilot of a Baxi Solo WM 50/4 PF - any leads for mail order suppliers also welcome)

I've used them. They have obscure spares for old boilers. Not cheap though. Cost me £100 for fan for Potterton, but I was desparate.

Isn't that true for most of Reading :-)

is good if he has the bit and you can wait for delivery. My fan is £26 from him :-(

Well my problem occurred some time ago on a Sat am on what was about the coldest day of the year. I had to have the part then else we would have frozen. Shoreheat had the part in stock so I drove to Reading to get it. It was so cold family came in the car because it was warmer than the house. Any other time I would have used CET's excellent service.

Didn't try them but for the record Baxi's website threw up not only Shoreheat (D'oh!) but also Heating Replacement Parts & Controls 9415235 which seem to be up Battle Hospital way (Unit 15 Stadium Way Ind Est). They say they've got the part in stock at £4-ish (+VAT), Shoreheat haven't got it in stock and it'd be £10.47 + VAT
