Good deal on thrmostatic mixer showers at Makro

In case anyone is in the market for a mixer shower, it might be worth looking in your Makro. I noticed on my last trip they had some Cascade thermostatic mixers, complete with three mode shower head and chromed rail with soap dish for the grand total of 49.95 + VAT (58.70 inc)

This looks like the chappie:-

web site seems to stay on this earth without the need of gravity (i.e. it sucks!) but I did manage to extraxt this from the technical section:

Site Conditions Our thermostatic bar type showers are suitable for all recognised plumbing systems including gravity, mains, pumped and combi boilers. Note! On gravity systems, the minimum distance from the underside of the cold water storage tank to the shower head must be 1 metre.

Minimum water pressure

0.1 bar (1.45 p.s.i).

Maximum pressure

5 bar (72 p.s.i).

Maximum hot water supply

80?C Note! The inlet hot water temperature must be at least 10°C above the required blend temperature.

Inlet Connections The inlet connections are 1/2" to 3/4" BSP cranked unions. Inlet centres on the valve are fixed at 150mm and the unions can be adjusted from

125mm to 175mm centres.

Outlet Connections The outlet is from a bottom connection with the 1/2" BSP adapter provided.

Material The body is of full brass construction.

Temperature/Flow Control The temperature and flow is controlled individually by 2 easy to operate handles. The temperature is thermostatically controlled and therefore produces stabilised showering temperatures to within +/- 1°C. The temperature for the Artisan and Sigma showers is factory set to 38°C. The others are factory set to 41°C and can be adjusted to suit site conditions.

Safety Shut-off The thermostatic cartridge will shut off in the case of either hot of cold failure. The inlet hot water temperature must be at least 10°C above the blended temperature.
