Since when has anything 'Just For Laughs' done ever been funny?

Excellent!

Many years ago, in the days when presentations were made with a slide projector, often with quite a large (3 inch?) glass slide. Denys Wilkinson from Oxford had a variety of "special" slides to wind up both the audience and the unfortunate slide projector operator. One of these consisted of two duplicate slides of a graph held in register with a little wax. After a short interval in the projector the wax would melt and one of them would slide out of register, prompting the operator to attempt to re-focus the image. While totally failing to find focus, the Prof would helpfully say things like "focus it up and down, not from side to side".

Another dynamic slide showed a graph where the data points didn't fit the curve. But once the wax holding the points melted, they slid down and were stopped by the curve, which was in fact a ledge. He talked through this by saying how the data didn't fit the theory, until he corrected errors in the data.

He also had slides with confusing labelling on the axis, one set being a mirror image so whichever orientation the operator tried (including front to back reversal) there was always something wrong with the labels.

And he would switch to a series of slides with Cyrillic labels. After a while someone in the audience would say "Look Professor we don't all speak Russian" to which his response was "Not Russian, my dear chap, Bulgarian".
