Flat crown

Hi all I have a flat crown on my roof.

A leak has sprung where the crown meets the slope of the roof. As it is -90 and knee deep in snow, can anyone recommend a mastic or sealant I can use in the loft to repair it temporarily? This from wickes looks ok:

- has anyone used it?

In my experience nothing you can do with a mastic gun from inside will stop a roof leaking from the outside.
