Fitting a wireless Honeywell CM67

Currently:

Pumped Y plan (Honeywell V4073A valve) with tank in airing cupboard + "panel" for wiring gubbins

(Ideal Mexico RS125 boiler in outhouse on ground floor)

Honeywell ST699 programmer in kitchen (separate HW and heating)

Where is the best place to put the base box ?

and any idea on wiring would be great

TIA

As close as you can get to a mains supply, in the kitchen next to the existing controller will be ok

It's usually copper covered in pvc but that's not important right now :)

If your main wiring panel is in the airing cupboard, put it close to that. It will need mains - which I assume you've got on the panel, and - assuming you've got a conventionally wired wiring centre, the stat contacts need to go between 4 & 5 - which are probably currently bridged if there is no room stat.

You can more or less follow the Y-Plan wiring diagram shown in

formatting link
- except the mains supply for the base unit needs to be taken from 1 & 2, and you only need live and switched live on the contacts - so ignore the neutral connection (for the accelerator heater) shown going to pin 2 of the mechanical stat in the diagram.

Thankyou that was most helpful especially the diagram

Well the deed is done - nearly!!

As Roger predicted there was a bridge wire between 4 and 5 on the wiring sundial.

It is all wired in and there are no RF issues - but (and there was always going to be one :]) the thermostat is inverted- e.g. when heat is demanded it turns off and vice versa.

I have been in the setup menu of the CM67 and changed the parameter from Heat to Cool which then makes the boiler function as expected

Any ideas ?

Yes, you've used the wrong terminals!

It sounds like you've connected to A and C rather than A and B in the HC60 If it's the newer type of CM67 then look at section 5 in the installation guide, notice the changeover contact?

Yes that was it - thankyou
