fireproof glass for burners please

i have several old woodburners and coalburners which used to have glass fronts, some are broken, some replaced with metal..

where and how can i renew them so that i can see the flames? what see though fireproof materials are there, and how can i cut them?

The only glass you will get is that supplied by the OEM and specific to the fire.

An alternative is the traditional mica sheet.

may not be of use in your fire though as it is not structural in any way, unlike pyrex glass.

I managed to get replacements for my stove by making a paper template and taking to the local glass supplier (Truro Glass).

They cut a replacement from stove glass complete with lead around the edges for a neat fit and it wasn't that expensive.

Measure and look on ebay (stove glass) or google, there's a few suppliers out there....
