Several - many of which have a cost, not aware of any particular problems with this one:
Alternatively there are also plenty of checksum utilities that will give a hash value for a particular binary content.
Lots, theyre called dupe locators. Hard drives tend to acquire lots of duplicate files.

But you have to know a priori which files to compare, else they default to comparing files with the same name in the smae directory structure. That's not quite what the OP is asking for unless you want to start scripting.
