eurolocks part deux

Following on from the thread about a month ago, would anyone be so kind as to email me off the board as to how to "remove" a lock for which we have no keys (patio doors), but access to both sides.

The email address is valid as long as you take out the stuff in caps.

Thanks :-)

Won't that be a bit boring for the rest of us?

Per the previous thread, someone requested that it wasn't repeated in here so as to prevent further spread of what is fairly common knowledge amongst the toerags who might misuse the information.

remove the handles from the door, adjustable spanner onto protruding portion of cylinder and bend it back and forth a couple of times till it snaps.

if no access to remove handle,a bolster placed on top of lock and hit with club hammer will also snap lock,but handle plate will need replacing if damaged

There was that alternative too, but I don't have any hacked keys, and can't tell what make it is (not stamped on the end of the lock)

That's the one I was thinking of, just wanted to confirm before I made what could be an expensive mistake :-}

And if the cam that unlocks the mechanism drops down into the lock body you might have a problem. Let us know how you get on.

In an ideal situation with the proper profile bump key with the appropriate spaced cuts made at the proper depth it can be an easy solution. Highly satisfying when it works though.:0)

That's how the bastards got into my house. Snapped the lock. I have since bought some Mul-T-Lock snap safe ones. Still not 100% but may deter the most toe rags. Also fitted sash jammers to the inside as well.

someone went through the whole keyring again, and found an unlikely suspect that fitted :-} (although it only opens one side of the french doors, it's enough for now) - similar situation with the conservatory doors.

I was looking at Mul-T-Locks following the last thread last... what are sash jammers ?

a pivoted arm, base screws to the door, arm pivots over the door frame stopping the door being opened.

Thanks - while I might not need one immediately myself, I do need a restraining strap for the french doors (the existing one was snapped when the locks were forced by the repossession team by the looks of it)
