I have to move my Stoves electric hob to a new worktop. The seal could do with replacing do I need a special heatproof seal (Can't find a spare on eSpares) or will any old adhesive backed foam strip do ?

I have to move my Stoves electric hob to a new worktop. The seal could do with replacing do I need a special heatproof seal (Can't find a spare on eSpares) or will any old adhesive backed foam strip do ?
From those I have seen there does not appear to be anything special about it... just something to stop gunk dribbling under.
You can get heat resistant silicon sealant too.
