There's one that's easy to get to as over London Liverpool St Station.

I do eat fish but prefer it cooked .. ;-)

All the best ..

Carpaccio can be made with a variety of meats and fish. It's common to find it made with Bressaola and with Bressaola made from horse meat as well as salmon and tuna.

See "A Year in Provence" for a recipe.

Even smoked/otherwise cured salmon? What's that Scandinavian dish - I used to make it frequently. Lemon, honey, bit of salt, pepper, dill ... oh damn! The memory ... :-(

You lot are Johnny-come-lately :-)

We've had two in London and two in the Thames Valley to my knowledge...

You'd be very welcome.

I'd buy you a pint...

A proper one - not like that Tetleys foamy stuff that you have.

I'm convinced that that's why northern barmaids have big biceps. It's pulling the pints with the sparkler on the beer engine screwed reet tight.

There's a really good one on the Euston Road side of Mornington Crescent tube. Can't recall the name at the moment. It looks a bit odd, 1970s half timbered decor and shiny, shiny plastic seats. But the sushi is excellent, as witness the fact that it's permanently wall to wall with Japanese.

We-ell, 'sorlright, I s'pose. Personally, I'd prefer a pint or three of Tally Ho[1] from Adnams.....

[1] Draught Barley wine at about 9.5-10%, for them as don't know....

Whatever turns you on. You must be in the south ...

I used to drink Barley Wine a lot, I'd forgotten about it. We mostly only drink with our evening meal these days and there are so many varieties of wine to research ... but we do keep a stock of specialised bottles. Hmm. Barley Wine, if I remember I'll get some when we next have to shop :-(

I've brewed my own, that was good but can't justify the quantity now.

Hardly a supping beer

I prefer something like London Pride - the right strength and luvverly flavour. Far more sociable.

Does it show that much?

You're wrong about the fighting. I'm a pacifist, never use my fists in anger.

Don't need to with this tongue ...

And I never, ever, in all my life, claimed to be a Lady.

I'll give it a dry run one lunchtime, to see if it is suitable for err, general consumption ..

Cheers,

Paul.
