Looking for something around 40w, preferably a "low energy" type.
Can't find anything that low a wattage in the UK (for 240v). The original fitting is from the USA and came with conventional "candle" incandescent bulbs.

Would it be possible to change the holder to an SES (E14) type?

I'd rather not, if I can find some bulbs.

It could be E12 I suppose, because E14 bulbs are a bit less than 14mm.
... later. I had a dig around and found an E12 nightlight bulb which fits. So problem solved (and I now know these screws are 'undersized').
