dry lining/fitting radiator

Compression, wimp! Try it with a lit blowtorch in one hand flux in the other and solder in the third...

No problem Neil, As long as you are using a recognised brand of drywall adhesive, eg: British Gypsum, Knauf or Lafarge, you shouldn't have any problems as the working time once mixed is pretty good - if you knock the boards back a bit too much you can always lever them back off, add some more dabs and try again. Remember to tap the boards back a few mm past the door lining to allow for a skim coat of plaster. If there are any external angles it may be worth dabbing a bit extra under these so that the plasterer has a better fixing if he intends to nail the angle beads on. Don't rush yourself and you'll be ok. Good luck. Franko

Thanks for all the advice. I dry lined the room today and it went well. Going out for a curry now to celebrate. Thanks again. Neil
