Drill sharpening machine

As a result of failing eyesight I am finding it increasingly difficult to sharpen twist drill bits. I used to be able to accurately sharpen most bits, down to 1/8". So I'm looking for a self-contained machine that will sharpen bits from 1/8" to 1/2" or more. Priorities are ease of set-up, use and decent quality of manufacture. I most certainly don't mind a used machine, as long as it can be fettled and put to GWO.

Any suggestions please? Nick

He had an excellent command of foul language and seemed set on finding fault rather than actually checking the performance of the machine. The diamond abrasive is presumably because there is no system for re-facing a conventional abrasive wheel.

Long ago I decided the Drill Doctor was too expensive for my needs. Googling *drill sharpener attachment* brings up what I use for bits up to 10mm. (My eyes are OK above that:-)

Ideally you also need the tackle to reface the grinding wheel and would be best using a cup wheel as only a small part gets worn.

Yeah, he certainly has his own "style" I suppose anyone with a YouTube channel tends to, but I think he does know his onions when it comes to metalworking, his teardowns can be interesting ... as a chap who claims to know how to sharpen his own drills, he probably bought one expecting it to be shit ...
