It's a theme park where anybody, including children, can operate construction plant!

How did they get that past the Elfin Safety bodies, and their insurers?

They are mostly stationary. Good fun though. And there's a more scary ride in a very big digger bucket...

By limiting what you can and can't do generally. So there are for example mini bobcat front end loaders you can drive about - but they have the gib clamped in place so you can only drive about and not do any damage with the lifting bit. Excavators are tied down, and you are instructed to only use limited rotation between to end markers, and two of the three arm movements.

Yup, not a bad day out.

My only disappointment was that playing on the 6 tonne excavator, they don't like you using all the freedoms of movement, so you can't dig properly...

Spindizzy is one of the best "rides" - particularly good if the bloke operating it is in an evil frame of mind, and worked out that all the passengers are blokes, and its coming to the end of a day!
