Don't know what trained contractors there are in Kildare (maybe check the Golden Pages) but you should make yourself aware of the regulations. Here's a summary:

If you mean a specialist asbestos removal contractor their charges (in UK) are astronomic.

Asbestos cement is nearly all cement and isn't specially dangerous. The few % there is of asbestos is bound is firmly bound within the cement matrix. Simple precautions should be taken when cutting it. Manual cutting is better than machining. Google for asbestos precautions. With a bit of luck the panels will be small enough that you can double bag it or wrap it in two layers of visqueen without cutting it.

In the UK most Councils will have a designated tip you can take it to if you double bag it.

From the Kildare County Council's website:

Search for Asbestos.

FOR ADVICE ON ASBESTOS REMOVAL CONTACT THE HEALTH & SAFETY AUTHORITY TEL. NO. (01) 6620400 Health & Safety Authority Waste Disposal Waste disposal, including the disposal of asbestos cement comes under the remit of the provisions of the Waste Management Act 1996.

BTW for the UK-ers some scary stuff here, "Things to come" :

It's no danger to you. Wear a mask and don't cut it if you are worried. The local council should have a special skip at the local tip.

Remember these sheets have only been banned a couple of years and that was to avoid health risks to the people actually making the sheets, not the users. Asbestos makes a lot of dust and people mixing it for process could not be trusted to really obey safety precautions for prolonged exposure.

When we had to get rid of an asbestos roof, we just got masks to avoid breathing in the dust, and broke it up with a hammer. No point in paying some cowboy a fortune to do it for you.

All you have to worry about then is getting someone to dispose of it.
