Disposable work gloves

Apologies if I'm suffering from brain fart, but I feel sure that someone in one or other of these NGs recently mentioned having bought some disposable (single use) gloves which were tough enough not to split at the slightest provocation and also textured to provide good grip - but I can't find the relevant post.

Can anyone please point me in the right direction?

I need some which won't object too much if they into contact with petrol/diesel/oil/grease etc. - but they need to be close fitting so that I can feel what I'm doing.

Nitrile?

Vynatrile is the new nitrile for stuff that needs a bit more durability but not textured as Roger recalls.

Technically I think they are vinyl but they have a more flexible feel than traditional vinyl. Not as stretchy or hand hugging as latex or nitrile but good enough feel IMV.

I don't recall any recent posts here about similar items.

Nitrile is more rubbery, oil and petrol resistance and gives "surgical" feel. Vinyl is tougher but less stretchy, also excellent chemical resistance. Lots of suppliers on ebay, no obvious "textured" ones though. Personally I don't believe there is a grip problem with plain vinyl or nitrile. If you apply too much force, nitrile will tear rather than slip. If I want grip and more protection, I sacrifice feel with this type

A pair of these lasts quite a long time.

Thanks - but that one was in 2006. I'm sure I've seen something within the last couple of months - but I'm damned if I can find it!

There was a post extolling the virtues of Costco work gloves recently.

They are good but not single use disposable which the OP specified. I use them as general work gloves. They even standup to dry stone walling which knackers most other most other similar type/price gloves pretty quickly.

Ta! Might have been that. Can you remember which NG it was in?

Can't remember the uk d-i-y topic heading but if you search texts within the last 2 months it should come up.

In Lincolnshire I buy mine from Boyes for around £3 for 100. I use 'em for washing up mainly, oh, and cleaning the loo. Marigolds are far too thick and clumsy.
