I have heard that its possible to get double glazed units for steel Crittall windows.

Anyone know where?

Unless it's for condensation reducing purposes, there is not a whole lot of point. IIRC, single panel steel windows have a U value of around 5.5W/m^2/k, and double glazed ones about 4W/m^2/k. Wooden drops that to about 2.5W/m^2/k. The best wooden to 1.6.

Assuming they are simple metal, and not metal with a thermal break.

The steel frame will conduct a lot of heat. If you really want to keep the original windows, I would go for secondary double glazing, which should be a lot more effective.

Crittalls now do a deeper profile of their original frames to take fairly slim DG units and use clip mountings. If refurbishing the original frames I was advised to fit 9.6mm laminated glass and they have a clip-on rubber draught sealing system for the openers (these I haven't seen).
