Coloured upvc windows

I'm looking at buying a property that has stained wooden windows in a sort of mottled yellowy brown colour.

It's in a conservation area and both the block rules and planning regulations required any replacements to be an exact match

Some of the owners have already replaced their windows with upvc so getting the colour match must be possible

A) Is the a standard colour chart available that I can look in for this colour

b) If if isn't a standard colour is making a special colour something that all suppliers do or is it just a hand-full of (presumably expensive) suppliers that offer this service?

TIA

I must admit in all my time searching for uPVC window suppliers and checking prices/features I have never seen uPVC offered in anything other than white, mahogany, rosewood or just possibly plain brown. Perhaps there's a specialist service, but as conservation areas can be very strict about colours and window manufacturers often (possibly always) use frame extrusions made by a third party I can't see how it would work.

Are you sure it's not a paint applied afterwards? You could phone your conservation officer to ask, or knock at one of the houses where it's been done.

Get powder coated aluminium windows, they can easily be made to any colour.

Ali is the worst thing for any type of paint to adhere to, so that'll likel= y bring you trouble down the line too.

Powder coated is fine - 'tis what I have for half of mine. Probably 30 years old and just a bit of a film on them that comes off with T-Cut.

Painting PVC is no problem - just make sure it's clean and use an oil based paint. No primer needed.

But then you have to maintain it unlike powder coated ali.
