Cleaning Electric cooker hobs - Tips??

Been using some stuff called "Hob Brite" to clean the new cooker hob but wondered if there were any alternatives that maybe cheaper, better or simply easier to try. Hob is only few weeks old so would like to keep it clean as much as possible, for as long as possible. Any handy tips? TIA

I don't know of that product but if your hob is stainless steel then after you have cleaned it get some cotton wool and a small amount of Baby Oil and burnish the metal with it and it comes up lovely

Yes, very good stuff but it is mildly abrasive. Hence the warning not to use it on "mirror polished stainless steel".

Can be hard to find Tesco don't do it but Asda does.

Is it any different to Brasso? Seems to be used in pubs for polishing brass.

It's more abrasive than Brasso. Put a bit of BKF on your hand and rub it with a finger and you can feel the very fine grit. I have a feeling that Brasso is mildly acidic as well, however BKF may well be alkaline... Brasso also leaves a residue to protect the polished surface so your polished brass stays brighter longer.
